A log should speak the language of the movement, and what you collect should outlive the device you collected it on. Release 1.0.42.4 of the web utility hub at apps.fredric18.uk splits training types four ways, brings bookmarks to the compendiums, and raises cloud sync into a service-wide feature.
Four Training Types
The three types introduced in the previous release are now four: Weights, Cardio, Relaxation Stretching, and Strengthening Stretching. Held as one category, stretching forced a thirty-second hold and a set of fifteen repetitions into the same column. Choosing a type now reshapes the log table accordingly.
- Weights — load and reps, with an estimated 1RM per set
- Cardio — time
- Relaxation stretching — hold time
- Strengthening stretching — repetitions
Logs saved before the split are migrated when loaded, so nothing is asked of the user.
Bookmarks in the Compendiums
The Exercise Form Encyclopedia and the FMD Diet Encyclopedia now let you bookmark entries, with a “My Bookmarks” filter to read back only what you kept. It works exactly like the favorites already available in the quote compendium, so the habit learned in one place carries to the others.
Cloud Sync, Redefined
Until now only workout logs reached the cloud, and the connect button lived inside the workout planner. Sync is now a service-wide feature.
- Wider scope — workout logs and routines, plus every compendium bookmark.
- One entry point — connecting, automatic sync, backup, and restore all happen from Data Sync in the top bar.
- Clear status — each tool shows whether sync is on and what is being kept.
- Tidier storage — cloud folders and files now use service-wide naming, while folders and files created earlier are still picked up, so existing history is preserved.
Interface and Quality
On phones, recommended tools, service information, and policies now sit in a single three-column row in the footer instead of stacking down the page. Compendium filters with many options take a wider area, ending the awkward line wrapping.
Recommended routines and FMD diet data moved into static seed data, separating content from screen logic, and the exercise references those routines depend on are verified automatically before every release.
Fixed
- Saved routines displayed in the language they were created in, regardless of the current locale (existing entries are migrated).
- Several labels rendered blank, including the “All” option in the FMD food suitability filter.
- English routes briefly rendered the top navigation in Korean.
Every tool is available with no installation and no sign-up at apps.fredric18.uk.
